SENIOR COLLEGE AUDITIONS/INTERVIEWS AND JUNIOR PREP SESSIONS
The Ohio Educational Theatre Association sponsors two opportunities for college-bound theatre students.
Ohio Unified Auditions - January 9, 2016. Bexley High School. Representatives from at least 16 universities will be present to watch seniors sing, dance, act, and interview their way into college. Technical students, directors, Stage Managers and, of course, actors and musical theatre students will have the opportunity to be seen by Ohio and surrounding states all in one place. It saves money and gives lots of options. Colleges will represent BFA programs, theatre minors, BA programs, and lots of other choices and options. Whether you want to perform for a lifetime, become a theatre teacher, a professional stage manager, or a technician/designer, colleges will be present to discuss options! Students do not need to be from a thespian troupe. This event is open to all students. Students need to create a profile on getaccpetd.com. Registration is now open!
State Conference - March 11-13, 2016. Dublin Scioto High School. Representatives for a variety of Ohio colleges will be in attendance to provide workshops, masterclasses, and feedback for current juniors preparing to audition in their senior year. Students will have the opportunity to present an audition or interview in front of a college panel and get constructive feedback about material choice, tips for the interview, etc. Registration is open to any troupe that is registered for State Thespian Conference. Register at getacceptd.com. Registration opens on January 1.
START COLLECTING YOUR CANS!
STAGE is collecting non-perishable food items for "Trick-or-Treat so Kids Can Eat," a national campaign to fight hunger sponsored by the International Thespian Society. Donations will support our own community by contributing to the Epiphany Pantry. Consider donating non-perishable foods like these: fruits, vegetables, tuna, chicken, peanut butter, baby food, cereal, pasta and pasta sauce, rice, and potatoes. The Pantry cannot accept expired items.
STAGE members will go door-to-door on October 31 from 6:00-8:00PM to collect items. Flyers will be distributed to STAGE members' neighbors in advance, but feel free to drop off items to the PAC Scene Shop entrance on October 31 from 9:00AM-4:00PM.
